The Graham area is committed to having the best, quality education. Graham demonstrated its priority on education with the addition of North Central Texas College's Graham Campus in 2009. The passage of a community college maintenance tax and a $30 million bond for the expansion of Graham High School exemplifies Graham's commitment to education. Additionally more than $50 million has been spent on improvements to other school facilities in the district.
North Central Texas College - Graham Campus
In August 2009, NCTC began its LVN program with courses being held in the newly renovated high-tech science lab and class room.
NCTC also offers a wide range of job-skills training, lifetime learner courses, college curriculum and dual-credit. Beginning in the fall of 2010, NCTC will offer the Oil & Gas associates degree program and welding vocation training classes.
The next phase in for Graham's higher education, NCTC and the Higher Education Board are meeting with a major public university to offer upper-level college courses so students can earn a bachelor's degree.

GISD has consistently been recognized by the Texas Education Agency for its excellence, including an Exemplary rating in 2010, the highest honor in Texas education.
In January 2010 the construction and renovation to GHS were completed.
The 104,000 square-foot addition includes:
- A new library
- Expanded administrative areas
- 15 new classrooms
- Four computer labs,
- Additional science labs
- Fine arts wing with a performance hall
- New competition gymnasium
- New softball field
- Football field house
- Expanded Career & Technology facility
