| The YOU LEAD program is a nine-month course
to develop future community leaders. It has been patterned after other
similar leadership programs that have proven to be extremely successful.
The program includes a mandatory retreat in September which serves to
unify the class and begin the journey of enhancing leadership skills for
the betterment of Graham and Young county. Sessions are to be held the
third Thursday of each month with graduation taking place in May. Throughout
the program, participants will gain an understanding into the workings
of the county through tours, panels, quality speakers, and community practitioners.
In many cases, the program director of the myriad of local services and
businesses will present informative presentations describing their program.
